So while talking to my grandma the other night about baking and all my failed endeavours she says the only way to get good at it is to practice. Poor Tyler.
So I decided to make cupcakes (out of the box..no need to mess with the real stuff) with seven minute frosting:
And what do you know? They actually turned out! The frosting was delicious to us since Tyler and I aren't much for traditional frosting. It wasn't easy though. The recipe calls for an electric mixer and since we don't own one I had to WE had to whip the egg whites by hand. Twenty sweating minutes later we were able to eat the fruits of our labor. It's not much but we're off to a good start.

Yeah that whipping almost killed my arm. The frosting did come out quite attractive and tasty. I like the Dairy Queen curly cues that you put on there
Nice work Ashli! I've learned how to cook a few meals now, but baking is still above my abilities too.
